25. January 2007: The European Commission has opened an investigation, under Article 88 (2) of the EC Treaty’s rules on state aid, into a planned Danish scheme aimed at facilitating the access of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to risk capital.

Financial incentives for audiovisual productions
The financial incentives program is designed to encourage creativity and complement efforts to attract risk capital for audiovisual work. The assistance it provides can amount to up to a quarter of the productions budget incurred and spent in Luxembourg.
